Got a date with Max tonight.  An IMAX date. I am so pumped.  Austin has been great and it is such a treat to get to see some great friends.  Stopped over at Public School today for some lunch.  Spider House for some cider last night, got to enjoy the glorious crisp weather with good company.

Trip is going great.  Made a detour to Ikea in Atlanta, potentially scary expensive for someone like me, but managed to avoid financial ruin.  I did manage to pass up this little number (IKEA 365+ LUNTA Pendant lamp $39.99).  Doesn’t look like much, but lit up, it is glorious.  Too bad I have absolutely nowhere to put it.

A little trip

Update, I got a job as a Design Consultant on Friday.  Sent in my resume on Monday, got a call on Wednesday, interviewed on Thursday, and got that jobby job on Friday.  All happened very fast.  I start training at the end of October, and I decided this was going to be my last chance to see some of my favorite people.  I am making a 2000+ mile roadtrip. Starkville to Oxford, back to Starkville, then to Atlanta and Athens, GA.  Then I head back west stopping off in Ponchatoula, LA, onto Houston and then Austin.  I am so excited and can’t wait to see everyone.

I’m going to check out the Festivals Acadiens et Creoles this weekend.  Love this poster by Francis X. Pavy, hope they are still selling them.  It would look devine on my faux bois fridge.  I also want to scope out the craft scene at Girard Park, really interested in what’s happening in that department locally.  I plan on getting the ol’ etsy shop back up and running within the next few months and also see about the possibility of getting into a few craft shows myself.
